TECHZNANIE INNOVERSITY PRIVATE LIMITED ("TechZnanie", "we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, secure, and otherwise process your personal data when you use our Services.

1) Who we are & scope

• Legal entity: TECHZNANIE INNOVERSITY PRIVATE LIMITED, a company limited by shares incorporated in India.

• Applicability: This Policy applies to individuals using our Services including learners, applicants, parents/guardians, trainers, placement participants, and visitors to our sites/apps. It also applies to personal data processed via authorised training centre partners and service providers acting on our instructions.

2) Applicable law & our role

We process digital personal data in accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and related rules, together with applicable provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

• Our role: For TechZnanie-branded programmes and platforms, TechZnanie is the Data Fiduciary. Authorised training centres, cloud vendors, payment gateways and similar vendors act as Data Processors under written contracts.
• Children’s data: We treat persons under 18 years as children. We implement parental/guardian consent workflows and do not engage in behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children.

3) What personal data we collect

The categories we may collect and process include:

• Identity & Contact: name, photo, date of birth, age, gender (optional), email, phone, address, parent/guardian details.
• Education & Programme: qualifications, institution, grades, assessments, attendance, projects, certificates, placement readiness scores.
• Admissions & Finance: application form data, batch/programme selected, fee plan, payment identifiers, invoices, refunds/deferrals.
• KYC & Compliance: government ID last 4 digits, nationality, disability support requirements (optional).
• Device/Usage: IP, device/browser data, app identifiers, logs, LMS usage, cookies.
• Communications: enquiries, support tickets, calls/chats, messages, survey responses.
• Placement: resume/profile, preferred roles/locations, interview performance notes, offer/joining outcomes.

4) Why we process personal data

• Admissions & enrolment: verify eligibility, generate invoices, manage refunds and deferrals, prevent fraud.
• Learning delivery: enable LMS access, track progress and assessments, manage certification.
• Placement enablement: aptitude, interview preparation, resume forwarding with consent, scheduling interviews.
• Customer support & communications: service messages, policy updates, grievance handling.
• Analytics & improvement: usage analytics, quality audits, new content development.
• Legal & compliance: tax, KYC, government requests, statutory reporting, security incident response.

5) Legal bases / grounds under Indian law

• Consent: clear, specific consent obtained at collection.
• Legitimate uses permitted by law: to comply with law, emergencies, employment, prevention of offences, or other fair purposes.
• Contractual necessity: to provide the Services you request.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect prior processing. If you withdraw consent or deny processing necessary for the Services, some features may become unavailable.

6) Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies, SDKs and similar tools for authentication, preferences, analytics, and measuring performance. Essential cookies cannot be disabled. We do not serve targeted advertising to children.

7) Sharing & disclosures

We do not sell personal data. We share data in limited circumstances:
• Processors: authorised training centres, cloud/LMS/CRM, payment gateways, communication providers, analytics vendors.
• Placement partners/employers: with your consent.
• Legal & compliance: regulators, courts, auditors, consultants.
• Business transfers: during mergers or reorganisation.

8) International transfers

We may process and store data on servers or cloud regions outside India. Transfers are performed with safeguards and only to countries not restricted by the Government of India.

9) Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary, including legal and accounting requirements. Typical retention:
• Admissions, billing & tax: 8 years
• Academic & assessment: 5 years
• Placement: 3 years
• Support/grievance logs: 3 years
• Cookies/telemetry: 3–24 months

10) Security

We implement safeguards including encryption, access control, network security, logging, monitoring, and vendor due diligence.

11) Your rights

You can:
• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request erasure (subject to law)
• Raise grievances via our Grievance Officer
• Nominate an individual to exercise your rights

12) Children’s privacy

We treat individuals under 18 as children and seek parental consent before processing. We do not conduct behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising for children.

13) Relationship with authorised training centres

For TechZnanie-branded programmes, centres act as Data Processors under contract. Centres must not collect programme fees directly. Where they act independently, they are Data Fiduciaries with their own policy.

14) Sub-processors & third parties

We maintain contracts with processors such as hosting, messaging, analytics, payment gateways, proctoring tools, and placement portals.

15) Data breaches & notifications

If a data breach occurs, we will mitigate harm and notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as required by law.
